Acrobatics Acrobatic dancing is combining the fluid motions of gymnastics, the mind/body-bending acts of contortionism and the graceful movements of ballet. Acrobatic Dance is one of the most versatile forms of dance, it allows you the freedom to couple athleticism with the refinement of ballet, the precision of tap or the musicality of jazz.

Hip Hop Our Hip Hop class is a combination of old school and new school in which they practice elements of various hip hop dances, often mixing them with more structured dance styles such as jazz. As hip hop is such a broad genre it gives the choreographer much freedom and room for personal interpretation, allowing them to be more creative.
Jazz Jazz dancing can be inspired by jazz music. Jazz included elements from Ballet, Tap, and Jazz dancing. For this Jazz/Theater dance, dancers must have flexibility, fast, accurate feet, and power for lifts, leaps, and movements. Jazz Dancing differs from traditional music because of the music beats that it highlights. It is swingy and sharp with many quick movements that can require great flexibility. Some of the basic moves are twists, kicks, rolls, turns, and steps. Jazz is usually done in large groups of people. Jazz is taught to dance students, often in conjunction with ballet and tap dancing.
Pointe Pointe is a form of classical ballet, where a dancer uses special shoes (called pointe shoes or toe shoes). Although Pointe is difficult and often painful to learn, both men and women may benefit from studying pointe technique, however, most performance opportunities are for women only. Dancers must have the correct stance and to participate dancers must be appoved by the director.

Tap What is now called jazz dance evolved out of tap dance. Tap dancers make frequent use of syncopation. Choreographies typically start on the eighth beat, or between the eighth and the first count. Another aspect of tap dancing is improvisation. This can either be done with music and follow the beats provided or without musical accompaniment, otherwise known as acapella dancing.
